I hope that with this post you can understand me a little bit more. Today, I am going to introduce my personality type to you. It is both a scary and fun task at the same time!
It is true that personality can affect decision-making in daily life. As an example, let’s take a look at the correlation between the outgoing people with extravert personality type and spending patterns.
When making financial decisions, extroverts contribute to impulsive spending, higher credit card debts and reduced savings. They want to reward themselves immediately once they do something good.
Therefore, extroverts tend to spend more on immediate consumption as they are more active, hence saving money is tough for them. People who are extroverts like going out and socialize with others, hence they tend to have lower savings rates. They save less money for the future.
My MBTI personality type is ISTJ
According to the Isabel Briggs Myers and Katherine Cook Briggs (MBTI) indicators, my personality type is ISTJ (Introversion, Sensing, Thinking, Judging).
My personal characteristics: ISTJs are ambitious, self-confident and deliberate. We are long-range thinkers. We are truthful, clear and efficient.
—
My priorities: I value intelligence, knowledge and competence. I always have high standards in these regards toward myself and similar expectations of others. I try to change all the things that are not perfect in the world. By having the ability to see a big picture, I try to accomplish great things, do the right thing instead of doing things right.
—
How I think: As an ISTJ, I live to handle things rationally and logically, but with lots of ideas. I put a great amount of energy in observing the world. Then, I am generating possibilities with my mind constantly gathering new information. I spend a lot of time inside my own mind. However, with my respect for knowledge, I always try to explain myself as clearly as possible. I am quick to express judgments and I feel that I am always right about things.
—
How I work: I usually check and edit each article several times before I publish it at SuperBusinessManager.com. I even proofread each article reading it out loud by making a YouTube video. I do all of it because I want all my posts to be perfect. I usually come up with ideas for new articles when taking public transportation or walking to work.
—
What I like: I prefer to be a leader rather than a manager. But, I will very often choose to remain in the background until I see a real need to take over the lead. That is also one of the reasons why I have started Super Business Manager, so I can do things in the background on my own terms. I like reading on my own and collecting business books.
—
What I dislike: I dislike messiness, inefficiency and anything that is unclear. I cannot stand people being ignorant to important matters. I personally hate shopping for clothes because there are just too many colors and designs that it takes ages to choose the right one. I hate stress too.
—
How I organize myself: I am obsessed with minutia and details. I am a perfectionist. Thus, you will find any clutter or unnecessary buttons at Super Business Manager. Everything on this business website has to be perfect! In my everyday life, I always analyze available options weighing them against each other.
—
What I strive for: My strong interest in dealing with the world is to make the best decisions possible, express substantiated judgments and put everything that I encounter into an understandable and rational system.
—
How people misunderstand me: As an ISTJ, I try to give back to the society by putting my ideas on paper for others to follow. However, sometimes my thoughts are highly individualized, therefore, not readily translatable into a form that others will understand. Although, I am committed to finding the objective truth, I am usually quite open to hearing an alternative way of doing something, as long as it makes sense.
