Here is my personal list of interesting blogs about family finance. These are blogs about managing money as a couple whose authors share their personal stories on how to manage the finances of your family.
The websites on the following list are my favorite blogs about families being in charge of their financial decisions. They consist valuable information on strategies how to approach money in the relationship, how to earn, spend and save as new parents, families taking control over their time and money, etc.
These blogs truly are the best of the best when it comes to family finance! It is a real treasure for all of the people who are both newly married without children as well as those of you who have been married for a long time and have children. I hope you will like them too.
Frugalwoods
I’m Liz, better known as Mrs. Frugalwoods, and I write about a wide range of topics, including my experiences as a parent, my adventures as a novice homesteader, and the financial decisions that made our life possible. My philosophy is that managing your money wisely enables you to pursue unusual aspirations and opens up a world of options for how to live your life. Through the application of frugality–coupled with good incomes and judicious financial management–my husband and I have created a life that we love living every single day. It’s not a life beholden to consumerism or the drive for material perfection or the incessant clarion call for more.

My Wife Quit Her Job
My wife and I started our online store in 2007 because we wanted to run a ‘parent-friendly’ business that would allow us to make a living while spending the majority of our time raising our kids. Our initial goal was to only make USD$60,000 per year but our store ended up generating over USD$100,000 in profit in our first year of business. Since 2007, it has grown in the double and triple digits and today, our little handkerchief store is a 7 figure business with employees and a warehouse. Meanwhile, our online store has allowed my wife and I to spend most of our time with family. I am very involved with my kids’ education and routinely tutor them in math and science. I also coach basketball and volleyball for their sports teams. Meanwhile, my wife volunteers heavily at their school and makes sure that they grow up to be good citizens. We created this website to help you start your own shop.

Go Curry Cracker!
Go to school. Get good grades. Get a good job. Buy a house. Work for 30+ years. Be a good consumer. Retire on a golf course. For many, these are the ingredients for success. But life has more to offer those willing to change the recipe. By living in a small apartment in an old building, walking and biking instead of owning a car, and preparing most of our meals in our own kitchen, we were able to save a large percentage of our income. Instead of buying things and services, we learned new skills that reduced our expenses even further. By learning to invest, we turned those savings into a respectable income stream. Now still in our 30’s, instead of 2 weeks of vacation a year, we have 52. We are Jeremy and Winnie. Together we are Go Curry Cracker, a rallying cry we earned on our honeymoon hiking trip. This blog shares our journey.

Making Sense of Cents
Hello and welcome to my personal finance and lifestyle blog! I created this blog in order to help me improve my finances (one example – due to this, I was able to pay off USD$38,000 in student loans in 7 months), keep track of my progress, and to help readers improve their finances along the way. My name is Michelle and I just finished living in an RV and touring North America. Now, I am living on a sailboat, SV Paradise. We sold our house several years ago, and have been traveling full-time ever since! I really enjoy reading finance and life articles/blogs and I also enjoying reading the comments and discussions that other people have. I hope to use this blog to educate and inform others and myself about finance, frugality, saving and the like.

Marriage Kids & Money
I’m a husband and father to two awesome (and crazy) kids and we hail from the great state of Michigan. Since I’m all about my family, my goal is to give them the best life possible and strengthen our family tree for generations to come. In 2016, I got so geeked about this topic of family financial independence that I decided to start a blog and podcast about it. It began as a hobby and then morphed into a fun side hustle when people started to enjoy the information I was sharing. Fast forward to today, I’ve left my corporate event marketing career behind and am now a full-time content creator. Truly a dream come true!
