Blogs About Eliminating Debt

Here is my personal list of interesting blogs about becoming debt-free. These are blogs about eliminating debt whose authors share their personal stories on how to pay off debt in order to build wealth.

The websites on the following list are my favorite blogs about eliminating different kinds of debt. They consist valuable information on strategies how to stop living paycheck to paycheck, build wealth instead of the debt spiral, freeing yourself from being broke, stay motivated to eliminate liabilities, etc.

These blogs truly are the best of the best when it comes to becoming debt-free! It is a real treasure for all of the people who are currently in debt, but want to improve their financial situation. I hope you will like them too.

Free From Broke

Back in the day, I worked paycheck to paycheck trying to get the bills paid and making sure I didn’t pay my credit card bills late (well, usually). Let me tell you, I wanted to do the right things but it didn’t always happen. I ended up thousands in debt and had no real idea how the charges added up. I realized that paying most of my check to credit card companies then hoping I had enough to get by until the next paycheck was no way to live. I made changes. I reigned in my spending. I took my job seriously. I contributed to my 401(k). At one point I even moved back with my parents to get my debts paid off. Know what? It worked! I was able to do a ‘do-over’ and start my finances over the right way. In the course of learning to take care of my finances I came across personal finance blogs. I loved them! I was inspired to start my own and in October 2007 Free From Broke was born.

Punch Debt in The Face

www.PunchDebtInTheFace.com

A fun personal finance blog for people who want to crush debt! The site’s slogan is ‘financial education one laugh at a time,’ and it delivers common sense advice with a dose of humor. Who says money can’t be funny? Who can resist a personal finance blog with such a straightforward name? After paying off nearly $30,000 in debt, ‘Ninja’ now writes about financial advice as well as his personal experiences with money. He’s upfront about his income and expenses, so you can get an idea of how it’s possible to cut back in some areas to pay off debt or save more aggressively. He’s also committed to relating his story to keep the ‘personal’ in personal finance.

Money Smart Guides

www.MoneySmartGuides.com

I started this site because of my interest in personal finance and wanting to help people better their financial lives. Unfortunately, personal finance is not taught in school and unless your parents taught it to you, you have no idea about the subject. That needs to change. The biggest stress in most people’s lives is money. If you take 15 minutes a day, every day to learn a little about personal finance, you can change your life not only financially, but also in every other way as well. So, I created this site to hopefully help you learn a little about personal finance, spark your interest, learn more, and remove any stress you have about money. To help me in teaching personal finance, my personal experiences with money, along with my tips and advice has been featured in many reputable online publications.
